WOMAN'S BODY FOUND IN LITTLE WASHOUGAL RIVER

The woman's family has been notified. The victim in this case was Sheri Ann Mills, 42 years of age. She lived at a house on the Little Washougal River just a few blocks from where she was found.

The Clark County Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death in this case to be accidental drowning.
The woman has been positively identified, but the name is not being released at this time as family members have yet to be notified. The victim was a 42 year old woman.
Washougal, WA- On February 27, 2012 at about 10:49 AM the Clark County Sheriff's Office and East County Fire Rescue were called to the 200 block of NE Blair Road on the report of a body in the Little Washougal River. Upon arrival it was confirmed that a deceased body was in the middle of the river. The Clark County Technical Rescue Team removed the body from the water.
Initially the identity of the body was not known, but a tentative identification has been made. No information about the identity will be released until it is confirmed and family members are notified. It was determined that the body is that of an adult woman. The cause or circumstance of this tragedy remains under investigation at this time by the Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit.
