Portland Parks & Recreation Presents Gospel, Soul Concerts at Denorval Unthank Park this Week :
Local Choirs, Famous Local Artists Highlight Events
(Portland, OR) -
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) presents 2 FREE concerts at Dr. DeNorval Unthank Park this week featuring popular, talented, local gospel choirs from Portland churches, plus incredible funk 'n soul musicians.
There will be FREE dinner available to anyone under the age of 18.

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011, 6-8pm:

Linda Hornbuckle began singing at the age of 6 at the Grace Pentecostal Church in Portland. She and her band, the Divas of Soul, headlined the opening night of Portland Parks & Recreation's 2011 Washington Park Summer Festival presented by DAIMLER.
Linda has dazzled audiences across the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Janice Scroggins is a Cascade Blues Association Hall of Fame pianist. She brings a dynamic sense of drama to her jazz, blues and gospel performances. Janice and Linda's music transcends all genres and barriers, and is sure to leave you breathless!
