ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: The I-105 eastbound bridge over I-5 in Eugene/Springfield is open ahead of schedule after a contractor for ODOT completed a bridge raising project. The vertical clearance of the bridge was increased to 16-feet, 8-inches to allow over-height freight loads to travel the I-5 corridor rather than detouring onto OR 99. The bridge is one of thirty bridges over I-5 that were raised this year, eliminating the need for over-height freight haulers to detour onto local roads and highways through many small communities.
