ANGLING LICENSE CHECK REELS IN WANTED PERSON ALONG WILLAMETTE RIVER IN PORTLAND (PHOTO)

An angling license check by an Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division trooper Tuesday morning along the Willamette River at Sellwood Riverside Park led the arrest of a 40-year old woman wanted on warrants out of Clark, Washington and Multnomah counties.
On August 16, 2011 at approximately 11:26 a.m. Trooper Matt Fromme was checking anglers along the Willamette River when he contacted KIMBERLY LYNN STAATS, age 40, from southeast Portland. An inquiry determined she was wanted out multiple warrants for:
* Fugitive from Justice out of Clark County, Washington where she was wanted on a felony Forgery warrant.
* Felony warrant for Identity Theft (5 counts) and Forgery in the Second Degree (5 counts) out of Multnomah County
* Misdemeanor warrant for Fail to Appear on Assault, Harassment and Attempt to Coercion charges out of Washington County
STAATS was arrested without incident and lodged in the Multnomah County Justice Center.
