Friday, June 10, 2011 at 9:53 a.m. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol personnel were informed of a deceased human body, reportedly discovered by a fisherman, who came upon the deceased in the Estacada Lake area - an estimated one mile upriver (Clackamas) from the Estacada Boat Ramp, in McIver Park.

Clackamas County Marine Patrol is responding to the location of the discovery and will recover the deceased from the river with the aid of a Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner.

Typically, in these types of situations the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office will first attempt to secure positive identification of the deceased; rely upon the expertise and findings of the Oregon State Medical Examiners Office, and also insure the appropriate family notifications are completed prior to any anticipated public identification.

Additional information will be announced to the media as new and confirmed information is made available during the course of this ongoing death investigation. [END]
