VANCOUVER MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT I AND KIDNAPPING IN EARLY MORNING DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

On 3/18/2010 at approximately 0254 hours Vancouver Police Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Lincoln regarding a domestic disturbance involving a firearm. Upon their initial arrival they were able to contact a victim female who had fled the suspect residence. Arriving Officers requested SWAT and Hostage Negotiator assistance after talking with the victim female who had fled. The victim female had advised Officers that her 6-year old son was still inside the residence. Upon SWAT and Hostage Negotiator arrival contact was made with the suspect male. The suspect was cooperative and taken into custody without incident. Arrested for 2-Counts of Assault I, 2-Counts of Kidnapping, and 1-Count of Felony Harassment was Thomas L. Atwell 12-4-80. There were no shots fired or injuries during this incident. V10-5148.
