The easiest emergency to handle is one that can be prevented through education: that's the mission of the Historic Belmont Firehouse & Learning Center. Fireman's Fund Insurance has been helping Belmont Firehouse's mission through the Heritage Grant Program.

The Historic Belmont Firehouse & Learning Center will accept a grant today from Fireman's Fund Insurance. The grant is being directed to the Belmont Fire House by the Fullerton Company, a local insurance company.

Since November of 2006, Portland Fire & Rescue has received $82,635 and Jeff Morris Foundation/Belmont Firehouse has received $12,978 in grants from Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and their Heritage Program. The program has awarded more than $25 million in grants to over 1,500 fire departments/fire service organizations through the Heritage Program and more than $330,000 in grants have been awarded in the state of Oregon.
