Beginning Friday, Aug. 8, the city attorney's office, finance department, human resources, information technology services, and the mayor's office will move to The Round. To facilitate a smooth transition, these offices will close to the public at noon on Friday and reopen Monday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. at The Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way.
During this time, all other City of Beaverton departments will remain open.
The Beaverton Police Department, municipal court and emergency management program will not be relocating and will maintain normal business hours during the move. The city has a plan to remodel the Griffith Drive building into a much needed public safety center.
The city's utility billing department will move to the fourth floor of The Beaverton Building, however, the mailing address for utility payments will remain the same: City of Beaverton, P.O. Box 3188, Portland, OR 97208-3188.
For customers who use the utility payment drop box, please be advised that the drop box will be removed from its present location and relocated on Aug. 11 to The Beaverton Building with a walk-up box next to the 15-minute parking spaces on SW Millikan Way.
City services will finish moving the following weekend. The community development, economic development and engineering departments as well as the city's mailroom/reprographics, passport window, and recycling and solid waste program will close on Friday, Aug. 15 at noon and reopen Monday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. at The Beaverton Building.
