PORTLAND FIRE & RESCUE RESPONDS TO AN APARTMENT FIRE WITH AN ASSOCIATED INJURY (13015 SE POWELL BLVD)

Portland Firefighters were called to an apartment fire at 6:55 pm this evening. This was the second structure fire of the day; the first occurred at a church in Southwest Portland. On arrival firefighters from Station 7 (Mill Park) found an adult male with apparent burn injuries. PF&R paramedics treated the man while other firefighters handled the fire.

The patient was transported to Emanuel hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. The fires damage was contained to an area of the kitchen near the range. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire and to estimate damages.
