The following information is being released Friday morning, January 28, updating developments in the ongoing search for suspect DAVID ANTHONY DURHAM, age 43, related to Sunday night's shooting of Lincoln City Police Officer Steven Dodds:
* Following Thursday's intensive door-to-door search north from the Bayshore area to Seal Rock involving approximately 60 officers deployed by tactical teams from the Oregon State Police, Portland Police Bureau, and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the search was scaled back overnight while troopers and deputies continued 24-hour patrols in and around Waldport. State troopers and Lincoln County deputies will continue around-the-clock enhanced patrols in south Lincoln County.
* On Friday at 1:00 p.m., access restrictions into the Bayshore residential area will be lifted. Area homeowners and visitors are asked to remain vigilant while the investigation and search continues and to keep their homes, businesses and vehicles secured and locked.
* Area residents and travelers should not pick up any hitchhikers or offer assistance to strangers asking for a ride in the Lincoln County and surrounding areas.
* DAVID ANTHONY DURHAM, age 43, has not been seen or found and is still considered to be armed and dangerous. He is described as a white male, 6'3", 160 – 185 pounds, with long brown hair and blue eyes.
* The last known photograph taken of DURHAM by a surveillance camera within 30 minutes of the shooting at a Lincoln City area business shows him wearing full green camouflage clothing including a long sleeve shirt, pants, and tan or dark colored boots. He was also wearing a dark colored beret. The clothing is similar to that worn in a new photograph released Tuesday that was taken in 2010.
* Boating activities are unrestricted on area waters.
* Anyone who sees someone matching the description of DURHAM should immediately call Lincoln County 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergent information related to this investigation or about DURHAM should call their non-emergency line at (541) 265-4231.
No additional information for release.
