Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Friday morning's single vehicle crash on Interstate 5 north of Rogue River that resulted in serious injuries to a 29-year old Grants Pass-area man.

The preliminary investigation indicates on January 28, 2011 at approximately 3:06 a.m., a GMC Yukon driven by JESSEE D. MAURER, age 29, from Grants Pass, was northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 47 when MAURER lost control, rolling the vehicle multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on all four wheels off the freeway's east shoulder.

Maurer was transported by ambulance to Three Rivers Hospital with serious injuries. Safety restraints use information is not available.

OSP troopers from the Central Point Area Command office are continuing the investigation into the cause of the crash. Alcohol is a possible contributing factor.
