PGE: PGE crews are actively assessing damage to power lines and poles today near Welches on Lolo Pass Road. They hope to begin restoring power to customers in the area as soon as possible in the next couple of days, and will continue through the weekend if needed. Crews are coordinating with County officials, because temporary repairs to county roads must be completed before PGE can gain physical access to the area with line trucks, replacement poles and wire, and other equipment.
Damage and the extent of the outage has been difficult to determine because of access issues. Many homes in the area appear to be vacation residences and are not occupied, but we estimate that approximately 350 customers are without power. PGE appreciates customers' patience as we work to repair damage as quickly and safely as possible.
