GRESHAM CITY COUNCIL ADOPTS 2010/2011 BUDGET

GRESHAM, Ore. – On June 15 the Gresham City Council unanimously voted to adopt the City's annual budget for the 2010/11 fiscal year.
The annual budget, which totals $346,702,473, includes all funds as well as the City's General Fund. The City's General Fund appropriation totals $50,625,388.
Development of the annual budget was made within the context of the city's Long Term Financial Plan, Financial Policies, Annual Council Work Plan, and Budget Principles and Strategies. Two important components of the budget include the utilization of the city's rainy day reserve to help maintain essential services and the aggressive pursuit of stimulus funds to help fill some budget gaps.
The City's 2010/11 fiscal year begins on July 1.
