UPDATE #2: PASSENGER DIES FROM INJURIES SUSTAINED IN APRIL 23RD TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 97 NORTH OF CHEMULT

The passenger in a vehicle involved in an April 23rd serious injury crash on Highway 97 north of Chemult died over the weekend at a Bend-area hospital. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation.

RICHARD ANTONE ALLINO, age 37, from LaPine, was critically injured after he was ejected from the vehicle he was a passenger in April 23, 2010 at approximately 11:45 p.m. The 2005 Dodge Durango driven by MARCUS ANTHONY VALENTINE, age 27, from LaPine, was southbound on Highway 97 near milepost 200 when it veered to the right off the highway and into a ditch where it rolled over, coming to rest on its driver side.

ALLINO was being treated at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend until he died early Saturday morning, May 1st.

VALENTINE is still being treated for non-life threatening injuries at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.

No additional information will be released regarding this ongoing investigation.
