Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at a bowling alley at 3031 SE Powell Blvd at 1:47 am this morning. When crews arrived, they saw flames coming out of 2 windows of the building. Crews took a hose line into the snack shop where the fire was burning and extinguished the fire. The doors in the snack shop had been left closed which kept the fire from burning into the rest of the building until fire crews arrived. A firefighter did step into a hole burned in the floor, but was uninjured. No one else was injured at this fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

SE Powell Blvd was closed in both directions for approximately one hour.
