The person arrested on November 3 has been identified as Tommy BROWN, age 57, of Rockaway Beach. He was booked at the Tillamook County Jail on charges of Harassment and Disorderly Conduct.

Previous Release:
On November 2, 2015 throughout the day several agencies received calls from an individual in Rockaway claiming he was going to cause violence to law enforcement officers. He was later taken into custody without any further incidents.

As a result of the calls, Rockaway Police Department and Tillamook County Sheriff's Office responded to the residence and verified the 58 year old male was at the residence in Rockaway. Based on the investigation, it was determined the suspect was going to travel to Portland early on November 3, 2015. Overnight surveillance was maintained, then at 7:13 AM units conducted a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody. US Hwy 101 was blocked for a short period while the stop occurred.

Agencies assisted were Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, Manzanita Police Department, Tillamook Police Department, FBI, OSP-SWAT, OSP-Bomb Technicians, Veterans Affairs Administration, and Tillamook County District Attorney's Office.

Rockaway Police Department is the lead agency but there will be no additional information send out regarding this case.
