PORTLAND FIRE & RESCUE RESPONDS TO GARAGE FIRE IN N PORTLAND

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a fire in a small detached garage at 8576 N Tyler Avenue at 7:18 pm this evening. When crews arrived, they found flames coming from all sides of the garage. Some of the fire crews began extinguishing the fire while others searched the house to make sure everyone had gotten out. The fire was extinguished before it could begin to burn the house.
The residents got out of the house safely and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
