PF&R IS RESPONDING TO A FULLY INVOLVED MOTORHOME FIRE, FLAMES EXTENDING TO ADJACENT TIRE SHOP

PF&R responded to report of a motor home fire that was extending to a tire business at SE 82nd Avenue at SE Lambert Street. Reports from police on-scene were that the motorhome was fully involved and that they could hear many small explosions. Police also reported that power lines were burning.
Arriving crews arrived to find a motorhome, fully involved that police states had a permanent resident. Dispatch started an ambulance as a precaution.
Firefighters began a simultaneous attack to knock down the motorhome fire and protect the exposure to the tire business.
The motorhome was a complete loss, however the exposure protection function kept the minimal damage to the tire shop to the exterior.
The fire was recalled recalled twenty minutes later at 2:01 AM.
A fire investigator is on-scene working. No cause or damage estimates have been determined at this time.
