STOLEN CAR CHASE YIELDS TWO IN CUSTODY

DRIVER - FOULKE, Zachary M. 12/29/1995 of Vancouver, WA.
PASSENGER - JOY, Larry Ruben 04/18/1997 of Vancouver, WA.
Both booked into CCSO jail on Attempting to Elude and Possession of a stolen vehicle.
While on patrol, Deputy Todd Young observed a blue Honda Civic that had been reported as driving recklessly on St. Johns Road. Deputy Young attempted to place a stop on the vehicle at the 6300 Blk on NE St. Johns Road. The vehicle slowed but continued without stopping. Dispatch confirmed that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the city of Vancouver. As Deputy Young watched, the only passenger jumped from the slowly moving vehicle and ran east bound across St. Johns Road. The Blue Honda took off at a high rate of speed through traffic north bound on St. Johns. Deputy Young went after the passenger and took him into custody after a brief foot chase.
Deputy Bryan Skordahl spotted the blue Honda in the area of 63 Street and Andresen Road darting through traffic and driving recklessly. With the assistance of Vancouver Police the stolen vehicle was cornered at the 6600 Blk on NE 40th Street and the driver taken into custody. Both were booked into CCSO jail on the above listed charges.
