On Thursday, October 1, 2015, at approximately 5:30 PM Red Cross disaster volunteers responded to a disaster that in the 7000 block of Truax Road in Central Point. This single-family fire affected three adults and three children. Red Cross provided assistance to address immediate basic needs, information about recovery services, and disaster health and mental health services.


The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in communities across Oregon and southwest Washington. Residents may call (503) 528-5783 or complete an online form at www.redcross.org/cascadeshfpc to schedule an appointment.
