BEAVERTON, Ore. - The Beaverton City Library and the Teen Library Council will host the library's thirteenth annual teen art show from Nov. 12 to 15 at 12375 SW Fifth Street.

Area teens in grades 6 to 12 are eligible to submit up to three works of art. Art should be dropped off in person at the Beaverton City Library teen desk between Nov. 7 and 9.

There will be an opening reception on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 4 p.m. The free reception is open to the public and features light refreshments, musical performances by local teens, and the first chance to vote for the People's Choice Award in the art show.

After the show, awards will be given in the middle school and high school divisions. The People's Choice Award will be given to one student from each division, voted on by show attendees. To encourage participation, the middle school and high school whose students submit the most works will also receive an award for the school's art department.

Each individual and school winner will receive $100 to Blick Art Materials. The four awards are sponsored by the New Friends of the Beaverton City Library and Blick.

Entry guidelines are available at the Beaverton City Library teen desk. For more information, visit www.BeavertonLibrary.org/Teens or call 503-350-4001.
