Gresham, Ore -Police are releasing the names of some of the people involved in a shooting Saturday night, which led to one man's death. Kevin Dewayne Varnado,27, of Portland, was pronounced dead at the scene when officers arrived, from a gunshot wound. Also injured by gunfire were Malcom Xavier Jesse, 21, address unknown, and Collett Renee Harris, 29, address unknown. Both are recovering in area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to initial investigation, police believe all involved knew each other. Investigators are working with family members to identify everybody involved and will release any more names as they come available.

Gresham Police were originally called on August 8, 2015 at 5:52 p.m. to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of N.E. Halsey on a report of multiple shots fired near the 'S' building. Arriving officers found Varnado in the lot and located Jesse a short distance away. Police located Harris after she took herself to the hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for today at 9:00 a.m. to determine the exact cause of death. Police would also like to speak to anybody who has not spoken to police who may have seen or heard anything at the time of the call.
