PA MAN ARRESTED FOR EXPOSING HIMSELF ON BOECKMAN CREEK TRAIL (PHOTO)

On 8-24-15 at about 6 p.m.Wilsonville Police deputies responded to a call of a male exposing himself to adult females and a child along the Boeckman Creek Trail in Wilsonville. The deputies located a man matching the description of the suspect given by the victims some distance away along the trail. Deputies identified the subject as S cott Matvey, age 40, from Pittsburgh, PA. Matvey had a non-extraditable warrant for similar behavior in Pennsylvania.
Detectives were called in to assist with the investigation. It was learned that Matvey had been living in a tent in the woods near Boones Ferry Road and Prahl Road south of the Willamette River. Mr. Matvey was interviewed and admitted to having masturbated in the presence of the victims that had made the original report.
Mr. Matvey was transported to the Clackamas County Jail and lodged on a single count of public indecency. His bail has been set at $50,000.
Investigators are concerned about the suspect's behavior and the possibility that there are other victims in the area who might have observed similar behavior but did not report to the police. Detectives would like to hear from those victims by having them call police dispatch at 503-655-8211. Anyone seeing this type of behavior should call 911 immediately.
Deputies believe that the quick reporting and accurate description provided by the victims were keys to locating this suspect.
