August 28, 2015--The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help to locate a Rock Creek man who is missing and poses a danger to himself.

The family of a Rock Creek man called the Sheriff's Office regarding a missing family member. Russell Smeed, age 50 has been missing since earlier this month. The family reported that they found a note left by Mr. Smeed that contained self-harm statements. After attempts by the family to locate Mr. Smeed were unsuccessful, they contacted the Sheriff's Office for help.

Deputies have followed known leads and have not been able to locate Mr. Smeed and are concerned for his safety. The Sheriff's Office is now seeking the public's help in an effort to locate Mr. Smeed.

Mr. Smeed Left on foot with a grey toy poodle and was last seen wearing a baseball cap, bright tank top, dark grey shorts, brown leather boots and was carrying a small black backpack. Mr. Smeed is 6'3", 230lbs, has blue eyes, brown hair and a brown beard. He also has several tattoos: a skull and flames on his left arm, a clown face with a smoking gun on his right arm and a tribal skull with a top hat on the left side of his chest.

The family does not know where Mr. Smeed might have gone. He lived in Klamath Falls just over a year ago, but there is no evidence to suggest he has traveled to Klamath Falls.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Mr. Smeed to call 911.
