National Night Out is Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from 5-8 pm at the Community Park (across the street from City Hall).
Opening ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm at the main stage with the Fairview Singing Centurions (Chief Johnson, Chaplain Paul Schmidt and Records Specialist Shannon Hoard) leading the audience in singing of our National Anthem followed by a welcome from Mayor Ted Tosterud.
At 6pm there will be a Taser demonstration followed by a Watermelon Eating Contest at 7pm.
Free hotdogs, kids activities, many booths and music.
At 7:30 there will be a raffle with prizes worth over $3,000. Proceeds will benefit the Fairview Police Department's Bicycle Safety Program.
Raffle prizes include: Hot air balloon ride, Fitbit, X box, Keuring Coffee Maker, Gas BBQ, Camping Equipment and much, much more.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Please join us for this very special event. Everyone is welcome.
