At about 12:30 am on Monday April 6, 2015 Officer Abeles of the West Linn Police Department stopped a late model sedan occupied by two males and a female on I-205 south at the 10th Street exit. During the course of the stop Officer Abeles, with the assistance of other West Linn officers, discovered that the two males had felony warrants for their arrest. One of the males, 24 year old Dennis Anthony Linton Jr., a transient, ran from the officers as he was being detained leading to a brief foot pursuit across I-205 down onto Willamette Falls Drive where he was apprehended. Mr. Linton was treated at the scene for minor injuries he suffered as he fell down a hill through blackberry bushes.

Further investigation revealed a small cache of counterfeit currency in the possession of Mr. Linton and 28 year old Kevin Sierra, a transient. The female, 26 year old Jessica Cavan of Sheridan, was arrested for violating the terms of her probation. Mr. Sierra, was arrested without incident for Parole Violation, PCS Methamphetamine, False Information to a Police Officer, and Possession of a Forged Instrument. Mr. Linton was arrested for PCS Methamphetamine, False Information to a Police Officer, Possession of a Forged Instrument, Escape III, and Fail to Appear on a charge of Ex-Con in Possession of a Firearm.
