SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPT MURDER, TEMPORARY CLOSURE ON MILL PLAIN BETWEEN FT. VANCOUVER WAY / E. RESERVE FOR POLICE INVESTIGATION

On 3-31-15 at 2341hrs Vancouver Police were dispatched to a single car rollover accident on Mill Plain between E. Reserve and Ft. Vancouver Way. The driver of the vehicle, 29 year old Vancouver resident Robert Souza, was contacted by police blocks away from the vehicle. At the time of the crash two adults and a child were in the vehicle. Both adults sustained minor injuries, the child was uninjured.
During the course of the accident investigation police learned the driving actions of Souza were not an accident, but intentional. At the completion of the criminal investigation Robert Souza was booked into the Clark County Jail on two counts of Attempt Murder 1-Domestic Violence and Felony Hit and Run. The Vancouver Police Traffic Unit and Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate this matter.
It is anticipated that the section of Mill Plain between Ft. Vancouver Way and E. Reserve will be blocked for the next few hours.
