BEAVERTON, Ore. - The City of Beaverton's Neighborhood Association Committees (NACs) will host two city updates with Mayor Denny Doyle in April. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear what the city has accomplished in 2014 and what's ahead in 2015, and to ask questions on topics they care about.

"I encourage residents to join me to learn more about what's going on in Beaverton," said Mayor Doyle. "These updates are a great way to find out how to get involved in your neighborhood."

Mayor Doyle will speak at the following NAC meetings:

* Monday, April 6 - Sexton Mountain NAC, 7 p.m., at Sexton Mountain Elementary School (15645 SW Sexton Mountain Dr.). Invited neighborhoods include Neighbors Southwest and West Beaverton. Everyone is welcome.

* Thursday, April 9 - South Beaverton NAC, 7 p.m., at Southridge High School (9625 SW 125th Ave.). Invited neighborhoods include Five Oaks Triple Creek, Greenway and Highland. Everyone is welcome.

"NACs provide our residents with the opportunity to participate in an open dialogue with their community and the city," said Suzanne Dawson, chair of the South Beaverton NAC. "The city updates are a chance for our residents to hear from Mayor Doyle, learn about city initiatives, and ask the mayor about issues that are important to them."

The mayor also presented an update at the Vose NAC on March 19.

All events are open to the public. Refreshments will be provided by local businesses.
