American Red Cross disaster response volunteers were alerted at 7 a.m. today of a single-family house fire in the 5000 block of SE 115th Ave., in Portland, Oregon. The team deployed to the site, assisted two adults and two children, and provided lodging, clothing, food, comfort kits, and information about disaster mental health and health services.
The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and suggests taking a few moments to review your family's exit plan should there be a fire in your home.
