FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH ON HWY 138 EAST OF ROSEBURG NEAR STEAMBOAT - DOUGLAS COUNTY

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are arriving on scene of a single vehicle, double fatality traffic crash on Highway 138 near milepost 41, just east of Steamboat Creek turn-off.
Early information indicates two people have died and two others may have been injured in the vehicle that left the highway and went into the North Umpqua River. The Oregon Department of Transportation is also on-scene assisting. The crash is not blocking the highway but troopers and emergency crews are working on the roadway.
