CHILD DROWNING

On 4/3/15 at approximately 7:10pm Clark County Sheriff's Deputies, Woodland PD and Clark Fire and Rescue responded to a residence in Woodland Washington on the report of a possible drowning involving a child. Upon arrival, first responders found a one year old female unconscious and unresponsive. CPR was initiated and the child was immediately transported to a local hospital. Attempts to resuscitate the child by medical personal were unsuccessful.
Detectives with the Clark County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit and Children's Justice Center are currently investigating the incident. At this time it appears to be an accidental drowning. No further updates at this time.
