Beaverton City Library Showcases Local Talent with Oregon Authors' Book Fair

BEAVERTON, Ore. - The Beaverton City Library will host an Oregon Authors' Book Fair on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the main library, 12375 SW Fifth St. The fair will feature the work of talented authors from Washington, Multnomah and Clackamas counties.


Visit all 27 writers to ask questions and purchase books directly. In addition, there will be a Speaker's Corner where six authors will address the audience for 15 minutes each, answering questions or reading from their works.


"The Beaverton City Library is dedicated to cultivating local partnerships that help patrons become more active members of the community," said Adult Services Manager Linda Fallon. "The library strives to make an impact on its neighbors, and makes a conscious effort to support local businesses and artists through its varied programming."

Children's/Young Adult: Patricia Aguilar Morrissey, Shari Getz, Ann Howard, Fonda Lee, Christa Pierce, Michael Wong


Fiction: Jo Barney, Barry L. Becker, Cindy Brown, Jeannie Burt, Myrna Daly, Sheila Deeth, Melanie Dobson, F.I. Goldhaber, Rita Kabeto, Bill Kroger, April McGowan, Robyn Parnell, Kelly Running


Nonfiction: Giselle Bawnik, D.C. Jesse Burkhardt, Neal C. Lemery, Tony Preciado, Karen V. Unger, Thomas E. Ziemann


Poetry: Margaret Chula, Susan Patterson
