Gresham, Ore. - David James Toedtemeier, 24, was captured Tuesday evening by Multnomah County's Warrant Strike Team as he left a southeast Portland motel. Toedtemeier was identified by a FOX 12 viewer as the person who stole nearly $2000 of scratch-off lottery tickets from Joseph's Deli on Feb. 28; grabbing a ticket display case and running from the store. The Gresham store provided excellent video surveillance footage of the theft, leading to positively identifying Toedtemeier as the suspect. Further evidence linking Toedtemeier to the crime was located at the motel.

Toedtemeier is currently lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center on a parole warrant and will soon face felony theft charges.
