PIGS RESCUED FROM BARN FIRE (PHOTO)

Clackamas firefighters rescued 20 adult pigs and an unknown number of piglets from a barn fire this morning. At 11:24am firefighters responded to 25675 S. Beavercreek Rd for a reported barn fire. When firefighters arrived on scene the barn was heavily involved in fire. The fire was also being fed by windy weather conditions.
Eleven fire units responded, including one from Estacada Fire District. Firefighters quickly evacuated the pigs and protected exposures. Defensive fire tactics were established which resulted in approximately half of the structure being saved. Some portions of the building did collapse as a result of heavy fire damage.
No injuries were reported. Fire investigators are on scene working to determine a cause of this fire.
