PASSENGER DIES, DRIVER TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL IN LATE NIGHT ROLL OVER CRASH

At 12:03 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 a caller reported finding a car upside down on SE Jennings Rd near SE Jade Ct, which is just east of SE Oatfield Rd in Clackamas County. Deputies arrived at the crash minutes later and found two people trapped inside the vehicle.
Clackamas Fire arrived and extracted the driver from the vehicle. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was transported to a local hospital.
Deputies investigating the crash learned alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Clackamas County Detectives and the Crime Scene and Accident Reconstruction Team responded and are assisting in the investigation.
The names of those involved are not being released at this time pending family notifications.
