OREGON CITY ROBBER PRETENDS TO BE WITH MEALS ON WHEELS; TIPS SOUGHT (PHOTO)

On February 13, 2015 at about 5:26 PM Oregon City Police responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery which occurred at a residential home on Taylor St near 15th St. A male suspect contacted a 64 year old female homeowner at her front door and pretended to be with Meals on Wheels. T he female victim let the suspect into her home. The suspect produced a knife and demanded money from the victim. The suspect cut the home phone line and fled the residence on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was not injured during the robbery. She was able to get help from a neighbor who contacted police.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late teens to early 30's, 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a slender build. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded top, and brown gloves. The suspect's face was covered with a blue handkerchief and sunglasses.
A witness was able to help police create a composite sketch of the suspect, leaving the crime scene. Investigators located video surveillance of the suspect leaving the neighborhood after the robbery. The Oregon City Police is asking anyone with information regarding this Robbery or who recognizes the suspect in the video surveillance or composite to call the Oregon City Police Tip Line at (503) 496-1616.
