WOMAN PULLS KNIFE WHEN CONFRONTED STEALING CANS (PHOTO)

At about 8:45 AM Friday morning Sandy Police Officers and Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Harvest Market Thriftway in Estacada on a report of an armed robbery. An employee of the Oregon Beverage Recycling Corporation was loading recyclables into a semi-trailer when he saw a woman attempting to steal two bags of aluminum cans. When the man confronted her, the woman pulled out a pocket knife, extended the blade and told him she would "slice his throat" if he said anything else to he r. The man was not injured.
Tara Jean Wisegarver, 34, a transient, was arrested at the scene and charges with 2nd degree Robbery, 3rd degree Theft, and Menacing. She was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail, where her bail was set at $261,000. A picture of the knife used is attached to this release.
