Vancouver, Wash. - On Friday October 10, 2014, three teams consisting of officers from the Vancouver Police East and West Neighborhood Response Teams (NRT), Neighborhood Police Officers (NPO), Vancouver K-9, and the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) conducted a citywide warrant sweep. The focus of the sweep was to locate and arrest individuals with with "no bail" warrants with the following parameters: felony property crimes, misdemeanor property crimes ( if the subject had multiple warrants), and DOC Warrants (regardless of the original charge). During the sweep, multiple additional individuals were located with misdemeanor warrant s, No Contact Order Violations, those being held by DOC for other violations, and individuals in possession of controlled substances.

The sweep was initially focused on 60 specific individuals who met the criteria listed above, were likely to re-offend while on their warrant status, and are persons of interest for on-going crime issues (both felony and misdemeanor).

The warrant sweep resulted in:

* 25 individuals arrested
* 29 warrants (both Felony and Misdemeanor) cleared
* 8 new charges on individuals arrested
* 2 Department of Corrections holds on DOC violations
* 1 vehicle seized, pending a search warrant for Controlled Substances

The individuals arrested and charges (in no particular order):

3. Taylor A Flick, 02/24/94 : 2 District Court Warrants
4. Tyler J Wheatley, 01/04/84 : DOC Probation Violation
5. Ashton B Livendale, 08/24/84: District Court Warrant
6. Angela L Duston, 07/04/87: Possession Controlled Substance (new charge);
Possession Stolen Property II (new charge)
7. Donavon R Cruze, 07/24/71: DOC Felony Warrant;
Possession Controlled Substance (new charge)
8. Glenn G Goodin, 04/22/71: DOC Felony Warrant
9. JN N Tosi, 01/21/95: DOC Probation Violation
10. Nicholas M Dreitlein, 02/12/86: DOC Felony Warrant
11. Christopher J Monek, 03/26/89 DOC Felony Warrant
12. Heidi L Freeman,06/ 15/73: 1 Superior Court Felony Warrant; 4 District Court Warrants
13. Gregg S Whitley, 09/18/68: DOC Felony Warrant
14. Byron D Potter, 05, /01/68: District Court Warrant
15. Undisclosed Juvenile: Superior Court Felony Warrant
16. Aaron R Farmer, 05/14/86: DOC Felony Warrant
17. Daniel T Ryerson, 06/24/95: District Court Warrant
18. Timothy L Davison, 06/23/92: DOC Felony Warrant
19. Jeffrey T Cossart, 03/28/68: DOC Felony Warrant
20. Jacob E Brown, 05, /19/90: Superior Court Felony Warrant

22. Patricia Huckins, 02/27/81: District Court Warrant;
Possession Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine (new charge);
Possession Controlled Substance - Heroin (new charge); Forgery (new charge)
23. Jeffrey D Brown, 10/17/74: District Court Warrant
24. Kathy N Davis, 12, /19/66: DOC Felony Warrant
25. Igor V Didenko, 02/27/83: 2 Superior Court Warrants;
Violation DV No Contact Order (new charge)


Warrant sweeps which focus on repeat offenders, are an important component to improve community safety and increase community livability in Vancouver.
