Grants for Startup will be the subject of Oregon Technology Business Center's next Westside PubTalk(TM) on Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Valley Brewery (1520 NW Bethany Blvd., Beaverton). The fee for the program is $15, which includes food and one drink ticket.

Entrepreneurs from Sonivate, a recent OTBC graduate that has raised several million dollars in grants--as well as eWind Solutions, a current OTBC resident company--will discuss how to successfully apply for grants. In addition, representatives from the Small Business Administration, Business Oregon and OregonBest will be on hand to discuss their grant programs.

The event is sponsored by the cities of Beaverton and Hillsboro. Please register at www.otbc.org.

The City of Beaverton helped establish the non-profit OTBC in 2004. Recently, OTBC was ranked as the best business incubator in Oregon by Portland State University Business School.

OTBC's mission is to support technology startups by offering a variety of services, including business plans, specialized coaching from business technology experts, networking events, and entrepreneurship programs. OTBC also provides startups in Beaverton with office spaces and workshops.
