On October 16, 2014 at about 8:16 am the Oregon City Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the Canemah District of Oregon City. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen by a family member earlier in the morning.
The suspect of the stolen vehicle was identified as 43 year old Tristen Lane Jordan of Oregon City. Mr. Jordan who lived in the area was served with a restraining order the previous day, October 15, 2014. He was believed to be back in the Canemah area and armed with a rifle. The suspect was reported to have made threats to harm his estranged wife and himself.
The Oregon City Police assisted by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office SWAT located the suspect on 5th Place at the residence he had been restrained from. Tristen Lane Jordan was safely taken into custody for violating the restraining order at about 10:26 am. No one was injured.
Oregon City Police requested King Elementary School and Gardiner Middle school be put in a Lock Out status during the call as precautionary measure due to the proximity of the incident. No threats were made against either school. Both schools have been returned to normal status.
Oregon City Police Investigators are still on scene determining what Mr. Jordan's action were prior to the call.
