Highway 22E three miles west of Mill City is partially blocked while workers try to clear a commercial truck crash in which a 70,000 pound cylindrical condenser rolled onto the highway.

According to Lieutenant Josh Brooks, on October 1, 2014 at approximately 3:00 a.m., a report of a commercial truck crash was received on Highway 22E near milepost 27. A commercial truck transporting a 70,000 pound condenser by Bigge Crane and Rigging Company was traveling downhill when the rear car started to swerve and lost control. The vehicle and load rolled onto its side, blocking the two westbound and center median.

Cranes and additional equipment are enroute to remove the vehicle and load. This is estimated to take 10 - 12 hours. OSP is on scene assisting ODOT with a plane for removal. Flaggers are keeping a lane open to help keep traffic moving through the area.

OSP investigation is continuing.
