On September 22nd, 2014 members of the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force served search warrants at 9000 block of SE Wooded Hills Court in Damascus, Oregon. Investigators began investigating the location after receiving an anonymous tip from a concerned citizen who said Michael Corby and Erin Sutton were illegally growing marijuana at the location.
Investigators learned the location was a registered grow site through the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program for a total of nine patients. Under OMMP rules, this would allow for a total of up to 54 mature marijuana plants and 13.5 pounds of dried marijuana at the location. Through their investigation, investigators believed the location was grossly out of compliance with OMMP rules. Investigators subsequently applied for and were granted search warrants for the location as well as Michael Corby and Erin Sutton.
At around 3 pm on September 22nd, 2014 investigators served the search warrant at the residence and discovered Michael Corby and Erin Sutton were well over the allotted OMMP limits as outlined above. Investigators seized 138 mature marijuana plants, 142 pounds of dried marijuana and approximately 8,000 dollars in us currency.
Michael Corby and Erin Sutton were contacted later the same day as they arrived at the Portland International Airport from the Midwest. Both were arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County jail for unlawful manufacturing and possessing marijuana.
