Gresham Police Arrest Couple for Sexual Relationship with Babysitter.
Gresham, Ore. - On Sept. 28, 2014 the Gresham Police Department received a report of sexual abuse involving a 16 year old female victim. The victim's mother contacted the Gresham Police and stated that her child has been babysitting for an adult couple for the past several months and her daughter disclosed that she had sexual intercourse with them on numerous occasions. The victim then told police that during the past several months, the couple provided her with alcohol and had sexual intercourse and sexual contact with her in their Gresham home.
The couple was identified as 25 year old Troy Cawvey and 27 year old Amber Whitford, both of Gresham. The investigation revealed evidence of the crimes of sex abuse II, sex abuse III, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor and sexual misconduct.
On Oct. 2, 2014 Cawvey and Whitford were taken into custody and lodged at the Multnomah County Jail for the above charges.
At this time there are no known outstanding victims and the investigation is on-going.
