GRESHAM DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING A HOMICIDE

Gresham,Ore--Gresham Detectives and the East County Major Crimes Team are investigating a homicide at the 2900 block of N.E. Division in Gresham. Officers were called out at 12:21 p.m. on October 11,2014 to check on a woman who was found inside her mobile home after relatives came by to check on her. Officers and Emergency Medical personnel were dispatched and determined she was deceased.
Detectives and the medical examiner were called out because of the suspicious nature of the death and they determined it a homicide. The East County Major Crimes Team was activated and continues to investigate this case. The East County Major Crimes Team is composed of detectives from Gresham Police, Troutdale Police, Fairview Police, Oregon State Police and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office as well as the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office.
The victim is an adult female. No further information regarding her identity will be released until her next of kin can be notified.
