Vancouver Police have Thomas Keys in custody. He will be interviewed by detectives and then booked onto jail.

Vancouver, Wash. - On September 26, 2014, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to an armed robbery call at an AM/PM located at 2714 NE 112th Ave. A male entered the store, displayed a weapon, and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the store. A description of the suspect vehicle was obtained and police learned the vehicle was also stolen. Officers in the area spotted the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. The suspect rammed a police vehicle, occupied by an officer and a K9 and was fleeing the area. During the attempt to stop the suspect, a Vancouver Police officer fired at the suspect vehicle. The suspect continued to the 12400 block of NE 28th Street where he crashed the stolen vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers from the SW Washington Regional SWAT team responded and conducted a search of the area where the suspect was last seen but were unable to locate him.

The suspect has been identified as Thomas J. Keys, DOB 8/24/73. He is a black male, 6'1", 200 lbs.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Thomas J. Keys is asked to call 911.

Neither the clerk, the officer, nor the K9 were injured during this incident.
