MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER BEING STABBED BY ROOMMATE

The suspect in the stabbing from last night has been arrested and lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on a single count of Assault in the First Degree. The suspect is:
Reynaldo Lopez Martinez, Age 43
There is not yet a photograph of Mr. Lopez available.
Notifications of the victim's family are still underway. At last check he remained in critical condition in the hospital.
Investigators with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit and the Clackamas Interagency Major Crimes Team are continuing their investigation.

Clackamas County Deputies responded to a 911 call at the Oak Grove Apartments, 4500 SE Roethe Rd, just before 8:00 pm Thursday, September 25, 2014. Callers reported finding a male down in the parking lot of the apartment complex that was bleeding.
Deputies arrived minutes later and found a man in the parking lot covered in blood. They discovered he had several stab wounds and call for medical personnel to come in right away. The male was transported to the hospital by AMR. He is currently listed in critical condition.
Deputies learned the stabbing took place inside a near by apartment. They contacted a male inside the apartment, who is believed to be the suspect. He was detained without incident and is currently being questioned. They also located the knife believed to be used in the incident.
Clackamas County Homicide and Violent Crime Unit in cooperation with the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team are currently on scene and investigating.
The males live in the same apartment as roommates and at this time we believe are not related. Both males are middle aged; their identity is not being released at this time.
