WILSONVILLE, OR--Findings from the recently completed 2014 National Citizen Survey(TM) (NCS) for Wilsonville will be presented by Damema Mann, Senior Project Manager of the NCS at the City Council meeting on Monday, October 6, 8:00 pm, at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop East. The Survey, commissioned earlier this year by the City, was conducted by the National Research Center of Boulder, CO.
The Survey provides community leaders and members with statistically valid information on local residents' thoughts and attitudes about Wilsonville. The survey compares Wilsonville's results to national "benchmarks" of average responses to identical questions asked across the U.S. and finds that the City has continued to exceed national benchmarks. The study also includes a Trends over Time report that compares Wilsonville's 2012 survey results to the 2014 results to assess changes that occurred since the first time the Survey was conducted locally two years ago.
In reflecting on the results Mann said, "Just like in 2012, Wilsonville residents continue to rate the quality of life and overall satisfaction with City government services among the highest we have seen throughout the nation. In addition, when we compare the 2014 results to the 2012 results, we even see improvement in many categories over the past two years."
City Manager Bryan Cosgrove said that, "These new survey results allow us to hear the voices of our community and to assess the direction we are headed as we seek to continue responsibly developing our community and providing top-quality services to our residents and businesses. "
A full copy of the report is now available online at www.ci.wilsonville.or.us/CommunitySurvey.
Community members interested in attending the presentation should note that the 8:00 p.m. start time of this City Council meeting is an hour later than normal.
