UPDATE: August 9, 2014 - Early Saturday morning, Hillsboro Police located Harvey Cross at a friend's house. He was in good health and was returned to the custody of his parents.

August 8, 2014--Sheriff's Deputies are seeking the public's help in locating a missing 16 year-old boy. Deputies believe he may be in danger due to evidence located at his home indicating he was having thoughts of self harm.

On August 5, 2014, at about 9:25 P.M., Sheriff's Deputies were called to the 900 block of SW 179th Street in Aloha, concerning 16 year-old Harvey Cross. Deputies were told that Harvey was home Tuesday evening and in his room. When a family member went to check on him, they found a note stating he was leaving and his window open.

On August 6, 2014 the family reported to the Sheriff's Office that they found several notes written by Harvey indicating thoughts of self harm. It has been three days since the family has heard from Harvey. He has no history of running away from home and his family is concerned for his safety. Harvey might travel to the Vancouver, Washington area, where he has relatives.

Harvey is described as being 6', 130lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what he is wearing, but he will likely have a backpack and a long board style skateboard. He has been entered into the Law Enforcement Data System which will assist any peace officer that comes into contact with him to return him home.
