The following is an update from the Klamath County District Attorney's Office:


The Major Crime team has located the 1989 Jeep Cherokee, Oregon license ZFQ 270, associated with the shooting of Klamath County Sheriff Deputy Jason Weber, between North Klamath and Rocky Point.

The victim in the shooting is Deputy Jason Weber, age 40.

The public is encouraged to relay any information they may have regarding this investigation to the Klamath Falls Police Department tip line at (541) 883-5334.

The Klamath County Major Crime Team is comprised of the Klamath County Sheriff's Office, Klamath Falls Police Department, Oregon State Police, Klamath County Community Corrections, and Klamath County District Attorney's Office.
