UPDATE #3: ADDITIONAL ARREST IN CONNECTION TO SHOOTING OF KLAMATH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE DEPUTY; DEPUTY'S NAME RELEASED (PHOTO)

The following is an update from the Klamath County District Attorney's Office. Questions should be referred to District Attorney Rob Patridge.

On Thursday, August 28, 2014, the Klamath County Major Crime arrested William Jack Parkerson, age 30, on charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm. The Crime Team has also arrested Karey Leigh Pascoe, age 33, in connection with the shooting and charged her with conspiracy to commit Attempted Aggravated Murder with a Firearm, Aggravated Murder, and Assault in the First Degree with a Firearm.
Klamath County Sheriff Frank Skrah said, "We appreciate the efforts of all of the law enforcement who have assisted us in the apprehension of these suspects. We are fortunate to have such a strong brotherhood under the badge. Now that the suspects are in custody I want to announce that Deputy Jason Weber, a dedicated Deputy Sheriff for seven years was the Deputy who is the victim of this brutal shooting. Deputy Weber is with his family at Oregon Health Sciences University currently undergoing surgery under the care of seven physicians and is in serious but stable condition. The family knows that the thoughts and prayers of the community go out to them at this difficult time. It is the request of Deputy Weber's family that all contact related to Deputy Weber's condition be directed to the Klamath County Sheriff's Office."
The Major Crime team is still attempting to locate a vehicle associated with the shooting, a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Oregon Vehicle Plate Number ZFQ 270. A picture of a similar looking vehicle is provided with this news release.
